This Privacy Policy explains how Janata Bank PLC. collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects Merchant information for providing merchant onboarding, QR-based payment acceptance, digital payment, settlement, reporting, and related services through the CRM App.

By submitting information, clicking "Agree" or "Accept", or using the CRM App, the Merchant confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Privacy Policy.

1. Janata Bank PLC. may collect Merchant information for onboarding, account creation, KYC verification, due diligence, payment processing, settlement, service activation, communication, compliance, and ongoing service management.

2. The information collected may include Merchant name, business name, ownership details, contact number, email, business address, trade license, NID, TIN, BIN, bank account details, photographs, documents, transaction details, and other information required for onboarding and service operation.

3. Janata Bank PLC. may also collect login details, device information, IP address, activity logs, usage records, transaction history, location-related information, and other technical information when the Merchant uses the CRM App or related digital services.

4. Merchant information may be used to provide digital payment services, QR-based payment acceptance, settlement, transaction reporting, customer support, dispute handling, refund processing, chargeback management, and other related value-added services.

5. Janata Bank PLC. may verify Merchant information through submitted documents, internal records, regulatory databases, third-party verification sources, physical verification, or any other lawful verification process.

6. The Merchant must provide accurate, complete, authentic, and updated information. Janata Bank PLC. shall not be responsible for any issue arising from false, incorrect, incomplete, misleading, or outdated information provided by the Merchant.

7. The Merchant must update Janata Bank PLC. if there is any change in business name, ownership, business type, address, contact details, bank account, license, or any other important information.

8. Janata Bank PLC. may process Merchant information to comply with applicable laws, Bangladesh Bank guidelines, AML & CFT requirements, audit requirements, court orders, regulatory instructions, and requests from competent authorities.

9. The Merchant agrees to comply with all applicable AML & CFT laws, Money Laundering Prevention Act, Anti-Terrorism Act, Bangladesh Bank guidelines, and other regulatory requirements while using the service.

10. Janata Bank PLC. may use Merchant information and transaction records to monitor suspicious, fraudulent, illegal, unauthorized, or unusual activities and may take necessary action as per law, regulation, and Bank policy.

11. Janata Bank PLC. may share necessary Merchant information with payment networks, acquiring banks, service providers, technology partners, auditors, regulators, Bangladesh Bank, law enforcement agencies, courts, or other competent authorities where required for service operation, compliance, risk management, audit, dispute handling, or legal obligation.

12. Janata Bank PLC. may share necessary Merchant information with authorized service partners only for providing, maintaining, verifying, processing, or supporting merchant onboarding, CRM App, Bangla QR, payment processing, settlement, reporting, or related services.

13. Janata Bank PLC. will take reasonable technical, administrative, and operational measures to protect Merchant information from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

14. Janata Bank PLC. will keep Merchant information confidential and will not disclose it to any unauthorized person or organization, unless such disclosure is required for legal, regulatory, operational, audit, risk management, or service-related purposes.

15. The Merchant is responsible for keeping login ID, password, OTP, device, and access credentials secure. Janata Bank PLC. shall not be responsible for any loss caused by the Merchant's negligence, credential sharing, or unauthorized account access.

16. The Merchant may be required to provide transaction-related documents, invoices, delivery proof, logs, or other supporting information for dispute, fraud investigation, refund, chargeback, audit, or regulatory review.

17. Janata Bank PLC. may retain Merchant information, documents, transaction records, activity logs, and related data for as long as required for service operation, legal compliance, audit, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, regulatory reporting, or record-keeping purposes.

18. Janata Bank PLC. may store Merchant information in secured systems, databases, servers, or approved technology platforms used for CRM App operation, payment service management, and related banking services.

19. The Merchant may request correction or update of incorrect or outdated information through the approved communication channel, subject to verification and Janata Bank PLC.'s policy.

20. Janata Bank PLC. may communicate with the Merchant through registered mobile number, email, SMS, CRM App notification, IVR call, agent call, or any other approved communication channel for service-related updates, alerts, notices, instructions, and verification.

21. Janata Bank PLC. may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the CRM App or related services if any data mismatch, suspicious activity, incomplete information, security issue, non-cooperation, legal concern, or regulatory risk is identified.

22. For refund, reversal, dispute, chargeback, or invalid transaction-related matters, Janata Bank PLC. may use, verify, process, share, or retain Merchant information and transaction records as required.

23. Janata Bank PLC. shall not be responsible for product or service-related disputes between the Merchant and Customer, including quality, quantity, delivery, delay, refund, warranty, or after-sales service. Such disputes must be resolved between the Merchant and the Customer.

24. The CRM App or related service may include integration with authorized third-party service providers. Janata Bank PLC. shall not be responsible for the privacy practices, service failure, delay, disruption, or actions of unauthorized third-party platforms.

25. Where any third-party service, wallet, payment channel, or value-added service is enabled, necessary Merchant information may be shared with the relevant authorized service provider only for onboarding, service activation, transaction processing, settlement, compliance, and support purposes.

26. Janata Bank PLC. may update, revise, or change this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version may be published through the CRM App, website, email, SMS, notice, or any other approved communication channel.

27. Continued use of the CRM App or related services after any update shall mean that the Merchant accepts the revised Privacy Policy.

28. By submitting onboarding information or using the CRM App, the Merchant confirms that all provided information and documents are true, valid, and updated, and agrees that Janata Bank PLC. may collect, use, verify, store, process, retain, and share Merchant information as described in this Privacy Policy.
